National Equipment Registry
Now available in Canada, this program allows CRA Members to register their equipment with the registry and allow local law enforcement the opportunity to easily find the owner of stolen equipment.
Thanks to the ARA's partnership with the National Equipment Register (NER), members can register their equipment with the NER's HELPTech database free.

Ready2GO Rental Tags

CRA Scholarship Program
The Canadian Rental Association continues to see the benefit in promoting rental related education. The equipment rental industry’s future success depends on having educated rental business and manufacturer/supplier owners, managers and employees.
To support that effort, the ARA Foundation and its affiliate programs offer trade/technical/vocational, undergraduate and graduate scholarships to help students pursue their educational dreams.The ARA Foundation administers scholarships for several affiliated organizations including two scholarships exclusive to CRA members.
All applicants who apply for an ARA Foundation Scholarship and meet that scholarship's qualifications are automatically considered for an affiliate scholarship. There is no separate application process.
ARA Region 10/Dorothy Wellnitz Scholarship - Canada
The US$1,500 scholarship is named for Dorothy Wellnitz, former executive director of the Canadian Rental Association.
The scholarship has been awarded since 2007. The criteria for the Dorothy Wellnitz Scholarship and the application are the same as for the ARA Foundation scholarship program.
ARA Region 10/Doug Mitchell Scholarship - Canada
This CRA scholarship is in memory of Doug Mitchell, past president of the Canadian Rental Association (CRA) and active volunteer in CRA, CRA Saskatchewan and ARA. He was an owner of The Rent-It Store in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, until his death in July 2010.
This US$1,500 scholarship is preferred for a student affiliated with a Canadian associate member business due to Mitchell's instrumental role in organizing the yearly CRA Prairie Trade Show.
How to apply
If you would like to apply for a scholarship or make a donation to the Foundation, forms can be found at the ARA Foundation site below.
If you wish to apply for the scholarship, you must be affiliated with the Rental Industry, either as an employee of a Rental Operation, or a child of a Rental Business Operator. Associate Members can also apply. Education must be pertinent to the rental industry. Scholarship eligibility requirements.

Membership in our Association entitles you and your immediate family access to the Canadian Rental Association Legal Care Plan
Under the Legal Care Plan
· There is no charge to you for the first 30 minutes of consultation with the lawyer at Canadian Rental Association
- These 30 minutes may be used either:
- By speaking to a lawyer on the phone
- By arranging an appointment, and meeting with the lawyer assigned to the file
- After an initial consultation, you may choose:
- To retain one of the lawyers recommended by the Legal Care Plan program of the Canadian Rental Association and pay a preferred rate of 15 off regular honorary rate and agreed upon between yourself and the lawyer
- To decline the use of the Legal Care Plan and use another law firm
Here’s how it works…
1. Call one of our Legal Care Partners and identify yourself as a member of Canadian Retnal Association.
2. You will be asked to provide a few details ensuring your eligibility in the Legal Care Plan, as well as some information with reference to the nature of your problem.
Once your eligibility is confirmed, you will be referred to a lawyer practicing in the appropriate area of law.

Canadian Red Cross
